1970s apartment with terrace
The assets of this 1970s apartment that appealed to the owner are the view over a park right in the city centre and a large terrace. The next step was to breathe new life into this very compartmentalised and poorly optimised apartment.
To meet his requirements, the architect decided to completely renovate the layout of the apartment and orient it towards the park.
The living room thus became the centre of the apartment, furnished with a table from La Chance, Vitra chairs and a sofa from Merci. It enjoys 2 glass doors opening onto the terrace and the greenery. The parquet from Parquetterie Nouvelle, and the white walls leave full room for the charm of the outdoor surroundings.
The kitchen was cleverly positioned in a former circulation area, with the arabescato quartzite island (Omnimarbre) facing the living room.
The owner, who works from home, wanted to enjoy an office offering both light and perspective. The architect therefore proposed placing the office behind a glass partition so he could work in a semi-open space towards the living room.
The master bedroom was designed as a suite with an en-suite bathroom and a dressing room. The building's structural concrete wall was incorporated into these 3 spaces to add texture and character.
The terrace was laid out as a small outdoor lounge extending into the park.
