Rehabilitation of an agricultural building into a loft

Le projet consistait à réhabiliter un ancien bâtiment agricole en maison d'habitation. Le parti pris était de préserver l'intégrité du bâti existant dans l'esprit d'un loft, en offrant une qualité d'espace et de lumière. Les choix se sont ainsi orientés vers une charpente métallique apparente, un sol chauffant en béton ciré, des murs existants avec « enduit à pierre vue », l’emploi de bois et d’acier pour l’escalier et le mobilier. Ces choix confèrent au lieu son caractère unique et son authenticité.
The project consisted of rehabilitating a former agricultural building into a residential house. The approach was to preserve the integrity of the existing structure in the spirit of a loft, while offering quality space and light. The choices were thus oriented towards an exposed metal framework, underfloor heating with polished concrete, existing walls with "exposed stone plaster", and the use of wood and steel for the staircase and furniture. These choices give the place its unique character and authenticity.
